DROP CAP POSTCARDS
I designed each of these drop caps by hand, first sketching them, then digitizing them in Illustrator. I laser-cut each letter out of thin plywood to create my own wood type and letterpress printed them. Each drop cap is on a 4.25"x 6" postcard, and one alphabet together creates a set. This was a project in my letterpress course where we had to use an experimental printing technique. I really enjoyed the process of creating each letterform and am happy with the texture that the uncoated plywood gives when they are printed.
